THE LEGEND OF RORO JONGGRANG

Once upon a time in java island,especially in Prambanan,there were 2 hindu kingdoms.They were pengging kingdom and kraton boko kingdom.Prabu damar moyo is the king of pengging kingdom,he is had a son named Raden Bandung bondowoso.Prabu Boko is the king of Kraton Boko kingdom and had a very beautiful daughter named Princess Roro Jonggrang..Prabu boko had a minister named Patih Gupolo.Prabu boko had a desire to revolt pengging kingdom they gathered the power by training men to become soldiers and collected goods from civil people as provision.

After that war between pengging kingdom and kraton boko happened.pengging kingdom is defeated and became poor and starvation and then prabu damar moyo sent his son,raden bandung bondowoso to have a battle with prabu boko.Bandung won the war and he was killed prabu boko.knew that patih gupolo ran away from the war and reported to princess roro jonggrang that her father was died in the war and killed by Raden bandung bondowoso.Roro jonggrang cried and felt so sad.Bandung bondowoso chased patih gupolo to kraton boko.When he arrived to kraton boko he was surprised seeing princess roro jonggrang,she was so beautiful,Raden Bandung purposed her to become his wife.to refuse his proposal,roro jonggrang had a strategy,she had 2 request which should be fulfilled by bandung,first she asked him tu make jalatunda well then she asked him to make 1000 temples in one night.Bandung accepted the request,he started to make jalatunda well,then roro jonggrang asked patih gupolo to pile up the well with stone.they thought that bandung died in the well.however,bandung was still alive.He was very angry with roro jonggrang,but he soon forgot his angry because of her beauty.

After that roro jonggrang asked bandung to make 1000 temples in one night,bandung command the genies to help him make the temples,in the midninght roro jonggrang asked the girl to pound and burn strubles.So the sky looked bright as morning had come,the cocks crow loudly,heard that the genies stopped their worked,after that bandung asked roro jonggrang to count the temples.the total was only 999.Feeling deceived bandung was very angry and cursed her become a stone statue.Until today,the people believed that the couple who are dating in prambanan temple will break
